I am a Consultant and Senior Lecturer at the Osborn Neurorehabilitation Unit at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals/ University of Sheffield and I am the Trust lead for Brain Injury.

I am a leading specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine. This is the science of restoring function to individuals after injuries such as stroke, brain injury, cerebral palsy, trauma and other neurological disorders that cause disability.  I have considerable expertise in these and other conditions including the management of spasticity, complex pain syndromes and amputees.

I have an extensive research and publication record including some of the largest ever brain injury outcome studies.  I am also frequently called upon to produce medico-legal assessments and reports in brain injury, amputation medicine and cerebral palsy. This includes driving assessment and mental capacity assessments.

My reports are evenly divided between claimant and defendant; I have also produced medicolegal reports for the GMC and for government bodies outside the UK.
